What you’ll be doing
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations from our Romanian office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize our tax position. He/She will be responsible for comprehensive financial reporting, risk management, and maintaining accurate financial records. Knowledge in Crypto assets, Web3, and industry regulations is a significant advantage.
You will be responsible for…
- Tax Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Company Formation: Lead the process of establishing new companies, including ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
- Bank Account Management: Open and manage bank accounts, ensuring efficient cash flow management and adherence to banking regulations.
- Partner Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process with financial partners, ensuring smooth integration and compliance with partnership agreements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage comprehensive financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management, including PnL, cash flow, payouts, balance sheets, etc.
- Bookkeeping: Oversee and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices, maintaining up-to-date financial records for outgoing and incoming funds.
- Auditing: Coordinate internal and external auditing processes with accountants, ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.
- Payments Management: Manage payments to suppliers, partners, and employees, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Financial Projections: Create financial projections and assumptions to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
- Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability and security.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements, as part of due diligence procedures.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Must)
- Master’s degree (Advantage)
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) (Must)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a fintech, banking, or multinational environment
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies
- Strong knowledge of tax planning and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- Knowledge in Crypto assets, Web3, and industry regulations (Big Advantage)
What you need to know
- Location- Bucharest, Romania.
- 9-18, Monday- Friday. (Hybrid position. 2 days remote)
